If you cannot find the answer to your query here then please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Do I need to pre-book?

In order to manage the numbers on our walks, we prefer it if you can book some time in advance. Bookings can be made either by email info@walking-london.co.uk or by giving us a ring beforehand on 01525 851277.

Once we receive your booking, we will send you joining instructions containing information about where to meet.

Do I get my money back if I fail to turn up?

As long as we receive 24 hours’ notice we will happily offer either a refund or the opportunity to re-book at a later date.

How do I pay?

You can either pay cash/cheque on the day or by BACS beforehand.

What happens if I’m late on the day?

Trains can be delayed, cars break down, people oversleep – it happens! When we send you joining instructions we will also send the mobile number for your guide. In the event of being delayed, just give him/her a call and see if you can sort out a meeting place on the walk.

Will the walk be cancelled?

We have only ever had to do so once – when there was very heavy snow in London. Basically, we would only ever cancel if there were some kind of extreme weather event or a major disruption to the transport network.

How many people are there in each group?

We like to set a maximum of 15 walkers per group. This gives everyone an opportunity to talk to the guide and to get to know one another. If we get more than 15 we will endeavour to supply a second guide to make sure that no-one gets left behind or separated.

How long do walks last?

Times vary – our longest walk is over 3 hours in length, however others are around the 2 hour mark. We walk at a steady pace and there is plenty of time to stop, reflect and ask questions.

I have limited mobility, are your walks suitable?

Most of our walks should not provide major issues. However, we strongly suggest you talk with us beforehand so that we can advise on suitability.

Where do walks start and finish?

We will advise you of start and finish points and public transport options well before the walk commences. At the end of one of our walks we like to sit down, take it easy, enjoy a bite to eat and a drink. If you would like to join us, just let us know beforehand and we’ll book a place at the table for you.

Are you insured?

Yes, as part of Battlefield Journey Limited we have both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
